You have just landed at Raiatea Airport (RFP), and in the distance, you can see the lush peaks of Taha'a, the "Vanilla Island." While these two sister islands share the same lagoon, reaching your bungalow at Pension Hibiscus requires a little bit of planning.

Here are the best ways to turn your transfer into a memorable first excursion.

1. The Taha'a Express

This is the most economical option, but please note: you must adapt to the boat's schedule rather than the other way around. It is the least flexible solution. This covered speed-boat shuttle provides a daily connection. For guests of Pension Hibiscus, this is the most direct public option as it serves the Ha'amene pier, located just minutes from our establishment.

• 📍 Departure and Arrival Points:

  • Departure from Raiatea: Uturoa shuttle pier (town center). Note: From the airport, it is a 5-minute taxi ride (approx. 1,000 XPF) to reach the pier.
