Have you chosen the Apetahi Express ferry to join us? Here is how to organize your transfer for both your arrival and departure.

1. Your stop is "Taha'a (Tapuamu Pier)"

The Tapuamu pier is located 15.7 km (9.7 miles) from Pension Hibiscus, which is approximately a 22-minute drive. Between the tropical heat, the hilly terrain, and the weight of your luggage, do not even think about walking: it is simply exhausting. To avoid arriving at the guesthouse tired and frustrated, we urge you to organize everything at least 72 hours in advance. Don’t be caught off guard by last-minute rates or lack of availability that would force you into a long trek!

2. Booking your taxi: Plan ahead or walk!

3. Practical Info & Timing

Booking Deadline: Contact them at least 72 hours in advance. Things here are not like in large countries: Taha'a is a very small island. There is no public transport, no taxi stand at the pier, and certainly no Uber.
Rates: To be discussed directly with the drivers when you call.
Reminder: Ensure you stay on the ferry until the Taha'a stop. If you accidentally get off at Raiatea, please refer to our specific guide for that route.

⚠️ Important Notice: Transport Disruptions

Any cancellation of your stay due to bad weather, strikes, mechanical issues, or any other incident related to the Apetahi Express will not be eligible for a refund from the guesthouse if the free cancellation period has passed. Cancellation policies will be applied according to your booking channel.

However, you have the option to reschedule your stay within 6 months of the original date, subject to our availability. If your initial booking was at a Low Season rate and the rescheduled stay takes place during High Season, you will be required to pay the difference in the current rate.
